You're old news pass code, it's finger scanning time...
Gone are the days when having a fingerprint reader on your phone meant you'd splashed out the big bucks. The idea of people using swipes & codes to unlock their phones is slowly but surely entering the history books. Soon we'll all have demoted pass codes to a dusty part of our memory along with VHS & floppy disks.
The latest smartphone from China to use feature a finger print reader is the Bluboo Xfire 2. What's more impressive is that it's selling for a mere £50.
The Xfire 2 has its pro's and con's with the finger print reader definitely being a pro. It's reasonable fast & is accurate to around 1 in 20 touches. You can see the full Pro's & Con's of the Xfire 2 below before I go in-depth & hands-on looking at the Design, Screen, Hardware, Software, Camera, Battery, Speakers & Connectivity.

You can get your hands on a Bluboo Xfire 2 from... UK : £50 | EU : €62 | US : $69

Let me know below: If you own or have any questions about the Bluboo Xfire 2?
Do you know if they released the triple sim version as thats the version I'm more interested in?
Hey Gregory,
I'm not sure tbh, you could ask them directly on twitter. Their handle is '@bluboo_inc'
Thanks,
James
I'm impressed with my xfire 2 though I really only use it for calls, texting and browsing. 8GB is enough storage for me for now. I have been able to setup the fingerprint sensor for apps but can't seem to set it up for unlocking phone. Any ideas?
Hi Steo,
I haven't got the XFire 2 phone any more but you can definitely unlock the phone using the fingerprint sensor. I was really impressed with the speed of the sensor which beat some phones twice the price.
If you have a look through the phone settings you will see an option probably under 'Security' or 'Fingerprint management' or similar.

I can't get mobile data to work on any network tried at least 4 different ones voda ee 3 BT an t mobile
Hi Peter,
Mobile data worked straight away for me on both the 3 network and EE. The phone uses the 2100MHz band so will work with any of the UK networks.
Check to make sure that 'mobile data' is enabled in the Android settings, sometimes this is turned off by default.
Then, if you are putting a new SIM into the Blubo XFire 2, you will have to restart the phone before the 3G will start to work. Just putting in the SIM won't always work. It's the same for a lot of Android phones.
Hope this helps you : )
